This website is all about healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle!

I do not have any medical experience, but want to share all of the research I've done and my own experiences with healthy eating. And of course some yummy recipes for you to create in your kitchen!

Our family started following a whole foods, plant based (WFPB) life-style back in 2013, when my girls went with their dad on a ski/boarding trip. Our oldest of 3 daughters, Tasha, cooked plant based all week, I heard the food was delicious, she gave dad The China Study book, and when he got home he asked me to switch to plant based cooking! These last twelve years have been an evolution in cooking for me. I started out a little overwhelmed, but with help from my daughter and lots of experimentation, I started accumulating recipes worth repeating.

But don't stop reading just because a WFPB lifestyle is not for you! Consider it one guideline for healthier living, and perhaps my research will motivate you to make some tiny changes. Maybe reduce the amount of processed foods you buy? Check the health tab to find out why this might be a good idea.

In the last decade, there has been a huge growth of plant-based eating, something that many cultures around the world have been doing for a long time. And in 2020, the AMA (American Medical Association) recommended that meat and dairy be presented as optional rather than required in the next iteration of the U.S. Dietary Guidelines. Plant-based eating is here to stay!

So this website is for anyone who wants to transition to a healthier lifestyle, whatever that may look like for you. And for my daughters, here's a quick reference to some of our family's old favorite recipes!

I've had Type 1 Diabetes for 50+ years, and have family and friends who are dealing with Type 2 Diabetes. Also, my sisters and I are concerned about Alzheimer's disease, since our Mom passed away from Alzheimer's, and unfortunately I know several people who are dealing with cancer. So I've created a health tab to share my research about the possibilities of reversing, curing and preventing some of these diseases.

Start by looking at the health overview page where I show that so many diseases are inter-connected, plus my latest research on the growing field of epigenetics and how lifestyle choices can turn on and off our genes!
