Who am I?

My name is Wendy, and one of the many things I like to do is help small businesses and non-profits to keep their websites up-to-date. Businesses often spend lots of money to have a website built, but then do not have the expertise in-house to keep it current. That's where I can help.

So what will I do?

The most common updates that I make on websites are the prices for products and services. Advertisements often need updating, phone numbers change, and typically there are "broken links" on websites that go nowhere.

I'm also a big proponent of teaching clients how to make these changes on their own. If requested, I will create short teaching videos that are specific to the client's website. The videos are proprietary and owned by the customer, so unfortunately I can't share any client videos here. However, you can see some examples of my website development teaching videos.

Frequently asked questions

•   Will the look of my website change? ⊕
  Unless specifically requested, the general look-and-feel of your website will not change. Only the information content will be updated.
•   Will I need to share my password? ⊕
  Yes, I will need a username/password to log in to your website. However, you will not need to share your master/admin password, or any of your existing user passwords. Instead, I can send you a simple video showing you how to add a new (temporary) user account that can then be enabled or disabled as needed.
•   What if I don't like the changes that were made? ⊕
  Before making any changes, I will create a backup of the webpage. If changes are not to your liking, then I will restore the backup.
•   Can you advise me concerning what is broken on my site? ⊕
  Absolutely, I will let you know what is not working on your site. We can then decide on what needs to be fixed, and go from there.
•   Do I need to sign a contract? ⊕
  All communication will be done via email (see "contact-me" link below). Once we agree on what changes will be made and the price, then your acknowledgement to the email will be sufficient for me to get started. Payment is expected after the changes are completed and approved. Work requests will typically be in small steps so that it is easy to go back to a previous revision.
